  • Essex County Arts Council – The Essex County Arts Council is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 for the purpose of promoting, developing and sustaining the cultural life of Essex County, NY communities. Visit the Arts Council

  • Historical Society – The Adirondack History Museum is home to the Essex County Historical Society, an organization dedicated to the ever-evolving interpretation of Adirondack history so as to inspire reflection, scholarship and comprehension of the land and its inhabitants. Visit the Museum

  • Sheriff’s Office – The Essex County Sheriff’s Office provides public safety to the residents of Essex County. They are responsible for the Essex County Jail as well as maintaining their Civil Division. Visit the Sheriff’s Office

  • Soil & Water Conservation District – Soil and Water Conservation Districts are special purpose districts, authorized under NYS law and created to develop and carry out programs of soil, water and related natural resource conservation by providing technical assistance and programs to residents, land owners and units of government.
